Founded in the 6th century. The current main hall features elaborate Edo-period carvings. It is the center of the famous Kawagoe Festival.

Visitors fish for omikuji (fortune slips) shaped like red sea bream using a fishing rod. The 'Tunnel of Ema' (wooden plaques) is impressive. In summer, the grounds are decorated with colorful wind chimes.
