The head shrine of Sarutahiko, the god of guidance.
One of Japan's oldest shrines and the primary shrine for Sarutahiko Okami, the deity who guides people on the right path. Located at the foot of Mount Suzuka.

Said to be founded in 3 BC. Sarutahiko greeted the heavenly grandchild Ninigi-no-Mikoto and guided him to earth.

The ancient forest setting creates a mystical atmosphere. The 'Kanae Waterfall' is said to grant wishes. It is also famous for having a branch shrine in Washington state, USA.
重大祭典
The Tsubaki Grand Festival in April features ancient kagura dances and martial arts demonstrations. The shrine's Setsubun ceremony in February includes a dramatic ritual where priests perform ancient purification rites. The monthly Tsuitachi Mairi (first-day pilgrimage) on the 1st of each month draws visitors for special dawn ceremonies and blessings, keeping the shrine active throughout the year.
